Accident in Ford County claims one life, injures two others/Gough 11/28/2010

SPEARVILLE - One teen was killed, two others injured after a one vehicle accident in Ford County early Saturday.

Killed was the driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Zachary Konrade Tyler of Bucklin. Injured were his two passengers, 17-year-old Mikail Brandon Ray Littrel of Dodge City, and 16-year-old Andrew Joshua Vigness also of Bucklin. They were taken to the Western Plains Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Tyler was northbound on 129th Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to slide sideways. The vehicle then overturned several times coming to rest on it's top in the middle of the intersection.

Tyler was not wearing a seatbelt, while his two passengers were not.

That accident occurring around 11:40 p-m Saturday night, near the intersection of Jewell Road at 129th, about 7-miles southwest of Spearville.
